About BankingPicks
Independent comparisons of savings and banking products, built for American savers.
BankingPicks (also written Banking Picks) helps Americans compare banking products, understand their options and choose accounts that fit how they actually save and spend. We started with high yield savings accounts because the gap between a good rate and a poor one is large, and the fine print is easy to miss. We now also compare CDs, checking and business checking.
Our official accounts are Instagram, Facebook, X, Pinterest and TikTok. Every Monday we post a Rate Check of the top savings rates we track.
What we do
- Compare accounts on one scorecard. Every product is scored on the same weighted factors as others in its category, and we publish them in full in our methodology.
- Check figures at the source. Rates, fees and terms come from each bank’s own website and disclosures. Every rate shows when we checked it.
- Show what it takes to earn the rate. We spell out the rules behind every headline rate, so conditions do not hide in the footnotes.
- Explain things plainly. No jargon for its own sake, and no hype.
Who we are
BankingPicks is written and maintained by the BankingPicks Editorial Team, a small independent team focused on consumer banking in the United States. We research each product, verify every figure and update our pages as rates change.
How we make money
BankingPicks is free to use. We may earn a commission when you open an account through some links on our site. That is how we pay for our research. It never affects our scores or rankings. Read our full advertiser disclosure.
What we are not
We are not a bank, and we do not hold your money or open accounts for you. Our content is general information to help you compare options. It is not personal financial advice.
